my name is Kirstyn Amanda and I am a watercolor artist from alberta, canada. I have a love for creating, and I am passionate about sharing that with the world! I started painting in 2020 and what started as a hobby quickly transformed into a lifelong passion, and I haven’t put my paintbrush down since.
prior to this journey of mine, I never considered myself as someone who was artistic or particularly creative. however, I found when I was painting I was able to escape reality and feel a sense of peace and freedom. that feeling is what really became addictive for me and it’s one of the reasons I am so passionate about art to this day.
I am floral obsessed, so you will find that many of my artworks include a variety of beautiful flowers. nature is such a beautiful thing to paint because it is so diverse, no two things look the same and this what I find so freeing about painting this subject. I also love how specific flowers hold special places in people’s hearts - whether it be you or your child’s birth month flower or the flowers that remind you of your grandma, or your own favourite flower, they really are sacred to many. this is why I have a passion for creating custom paintings, it is just as special to me to create that for someone to keep forever.
through this journey, I have met so many amazing people and really found a sense of belonging.
